Introduction

NTV, one of Mongolia's leading broadcasters, has successfully launched live news production using the Octopus Newsroom System. This marked a significant step forward in modernizing its newsroom operations and improving the speed and efficiency of news delivery.

With a fully integrated newsroom workflow, NTV is now able to connect journalists, producers, graphics, teleprompter and playout systems into a single production environment, enabling seamless live news broadcasts.

About the Project

NTV wanted to modernize its newsroom operations and introduce live news broadcasting capabilities. The objective was to create a streamlined newsroom environment that would improve productivity, enhance collaboration and enable faster news delivery.

To achieve this, Whiteways Systems designed and implemented a complete newsroom workflow solution based on the Octopus Newsroom System. The solution integrated newsroom computers, graphics, teleprompter and playout systems into a single workflow, allowing content to move seamlessly from story creation to on-air transmission.

Whiteways was responsible for the supply, integration, testing, commissioning and training required to ensure successful deployment of the entire system.

Whiteways delivered a complete newsroom workflow solution that enabled NTV to transition from traditional news production to a modern live news broadcasting environment.

The project scope included the supply, integration and commissioning of:

• Octopus Newsroom System

Looking Ahead

With Octopus now part of the core newsroom setup, NTV is well-positioned for a faster and more flexible news production workflow.

Working in Mongolia’s often harsh and snowy conditions, NTV’s newsroom stands out for its speed and adaptability. The challenging terrain only highlights how far the team has come in building a modern and connected newsroom.
